English Description: This series entitled “His Beautiful Names”, presents the Most Beautiful Names and Attributes of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala as found in the Quran and the Sunnah. Shaikh Dr. Suhaib Hasan, has relied on the verses of the Quran and the authentic Hadith of the Prophet [Peace be upon him] and, from these Ayat of Qur’an and Ahadith has given us to experience the Glory and Greatness of Allah Azza Wa Jall, and to derive many lessons and benefits from His Beautiful Names.
In this 10th episode, Shaikh Dr. Suhaib Hasan talks about the names: Al-Baseer (The All-Seeing), Al-Hakam (The Judge) & Al-'Adl (The Just); as Allah Azza Wa Jall Says:
“Exalted is He who took His Servant by night from al-Masjid al-Haram to al-Masjid al-Aqsa, whose surroundings We have blessed, to show him of Our signs. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Seeing.”
[Surah Al-Israa, Ayat 1]
“And say, ‘Do [as you will], for Allah will see your deeds, and [so, will] His Messenger and the believers. And you will be returned to the Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, and He will inform you of what you used to do.”
[Surah At-Tawbah, Ayat 105]
Allah sees everything everywhere all the time. If we are always aware of that, we will be too shy to act foolishly or to commit sins.
“Have you seen the one who forbids
A servant when he prays?
Have you seen if he is upon guidance
Or enjoins righteousness?
Have you seen if he denies and turns away -
Does he not know that Allah sees?
No! If he does not desist, We will surely drag him by the forelock –
A lying, sinning forelock.
Then let him call his associates;
We will call the angels of Hell.
No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah].
[Surah Al-Alaq, Ayat 9-19]
If a beliver develops this sense of being constantly present in front of Allah, he will certainly reach the rank of Ihsan. Jibreel (Alahi Salam) said to the Prophet (Salalahu Aliahi Wa Salam), “Tell me about Ihsan.” The Prophet [PBUH] said, “It is to worship Allah as though you are seeing Him; and while you do not see Him, truly He sees you.” (Muslim)
“And do not invoke with Allah another deity. There is no deity except Him. Everything will be destroyed except His Face. His is the judgement, and to Him you will be returned.”
[Surah Al-Qasas, Ayat 88]
Allah is the Judge whose judgement is implemented and cannot be nullified.
“Have they not seen that We set upon the land, reducing it from its borders? And Allah decides; there is no adjuster of His decision. And He is swift in account.”
[Surah Ar-Ra’ad, Ayat 41]
Though things may sometimes seem out of control, believers must trust Allah’s judgement.
“And follow what is revealed to you, and be patient until Allah will judge. And He is the best of judges.”
[Surah Yunus, Ayat 109]
“[Say], ‘Then is it other than Allah I should seek as judge while it is He who has revealed to you the Book explained in detail?’ And those to whom We [previously] gave the Scripture know that it is sent down from your Lord in truth, so never be among the doubters.
And the word of your Lord has been fulfilled in truth and in justice. None can alter His words, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
And if you obey most of those upon the earth, they will mislead you from the way of Allah. They follow not except assumption, and they are not but falsifying.
[Surah Al-An’am, Ayat 114-116]
“It is not for a believing man or a believing woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decided a matter, that they should [thereafter] have any choice about their affair. And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly strayed into clear error.”
[Surah Ahzab, Ayat 36]
We must accept Allah’s decree loyally, not attempting to vie with Him in Wisdom. Indeed Allah is just in all His doings. He gives to each what he deserves, and puts everything in its proper position.
“Indeed, Allah does not do injustice, [even] as much as an atom's weight; while if there is a good deed, He multiplies it and gives from Himself a great reward.”
[Surah An-Nisaa’, Ayat 40]
There is nothing Allah hates more than injustice and transgression. We see all around us today the transgression, injustice, and oppression perpetrated by so call “super powers” such as the United States of America, United Kingdom and their puppet regimes around the world.
The acts of injustice and terrorism that these nations such as the Illegal State of Israel, USA, and UK are committing will never go unpunished in this world and the Hereafter, Insh’Allah.
“Those who disbelieved and averted [others] from the way of Allah - We will increase them in punishment over [their] punishment for what corruption they were causing.
And [mention] the Day when We will resurrect among every nation a witness over them from themselves. And We will bring you, [O Muhammad], as a witness over your nation. And We have sent down to you the Book as clarification for all things and as guidance and mercy and good tidings for the Muslims.
Indeed, Allah orders justice and good conduct and giving to relatives and forbids immorality and bad conduct and oppression. He admonishes you that perhaps you will be reminded.”
[Surah An-Nahl, Ayat 88-90]
It is very clear to see and know who are the 21st century pharaohs as their action of injustice, corruption, transgression and terrorism is defined very clearly for us in the Qur’an.
Allah Azza Wa Jall Says:
“Indeed, Pharaoh exalted himself in the land and made its people into factions, oppressing a sector among them, slaughtering their sons and keeping their females alive. Indeed, he was of the corrupters.”
[Surah Al-Qasas, Ayat 4]
“Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire.”
[Surah Al-Buruj, Ayat 10]
Allah Azza WA Jall Tells us the their injustice and how they are keen listeners to falsehood and preach nothing but lies, and they are devourers of things that are unlawful. They judge according to their whims and desires like the times of ignorance. Allah warns us not to follow their way, the ways of Firaun, Hamman, and fight and defend against todays world terrorists, organizations and nations that support terrorists, those people that are responsible for the massacres that are still going on in the world: Israel, Israel Defense Forces, Israeli Intelligence Community, Israeli National Security Council, Israel Police, Israel Border Police, Israel Prison Service, United States of America, CIA, FBI DIA, NSA, United Kingdom, MI5, NATO, Shimon Peres, Ariel Sharon, Ehud Olmert, George Bush, Tony Blair, Dick Cheney, Robert Gates, Colin Powell, Donald Rumsfeld etc., and their puppet regimes, dictators and liars (may Allah Azza Wa Jall destroy them all and increase them in nothing but destruction).
“Then is it the judgement of [the time of] ignorance they desire? But who is better than Allah in judgement for a people who are certain [in faith].
O you who have believed, do not take the Jews and the Christians as allies. They are [in fact] allies of one another. And whoever is an ally to them among you - then indeed, he is [one] of them. Indeed, Allah guides not the wrongdoing people.
So you see those in whose hearts is disease hastening into [association with] them, saying, ‘We are afraid a misfortune may strike us.’ But perhaps Allah will bring conquest or a decision from Him, and they will become, over what they have been concealing within themselves, regretful.”
In these times when human beings live out their lives in abject state of fear, anxiety and misery as a result of the material and secular outlook which dominates their lives, there is the need to turn back to our Creator and learn from His Book, The Qur’an and from the Sunnah of His Prophet [PBUH] to get the Guidance for our salvation in this life and the Hereafter.
Shaikh Suhaib Hasan was born in India but brought up and educated in Pakistan. After completing Islamic and Arabic studies (Fadil Arabic, 1960) and English language studies (B.A. 1962), he joined the newly-set-up Islamic University at Madinah, Saudi Arabia for higher studies in the faculty of Sharia. Here he studied under a galaxy of prominent scholars such as Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Baz, Muhammad Amin al-Shanqiti, Muhammad Nasiruddin al-Albani and later his father Sheikh Abdul Ghaffar Hasan. After graduating in 1966, he began his career as a teacher and worker in Islamic Dawa at Nairobi, Kenya on behalf of Darul Ifta. In 1976, he moved to London where he engaged in Islamic Dawa especially through the forum of Al-Quran Society. Currently he is the chairman of Masjid & Madrasah al-Tawhid Trust and Secretary of the Islamic Sharia Council of Great Britain.
